{Summer Weekend}

I summer weekends.
There's always so much going on...you never have to worry about being bored.
For instance
, this weekend is packed full of events.
A tour of homes tomorrow afternoon featuring my brother,
Christopher, & his wife, Jessica's lovely house...

{think of a lawn game, I'm sure it will be there...}
A birthday BBQ, horseshoe, & bocce party tomorrow as well...

{Image from here}
{I read something about tractor games & can only hope...}
& a small town celebration of our friend's bank's 125th Anniversary.
{That was a mouthful.}
Oh, & I must not forget to frost the strawberry cupcakes I baked yesterday. They are currently naked & abandoned in my kitchen...

Any fun weekend plans out there?
If so, have lots of fun!

Summer weekends & street fairs are one of the things I miss about NYC. It's so hot here, you can fry eggs on the street in the summers, so not too much happens between now and September...

A Hail and Farewell is a traditional military event held on a monthly basis, for a battalion's Officers and Upper Enlisted soldiers. It's basically an excuse to get together and drink.

However, there is a formal portion to the evening, where new people entering the battalion are "hailed" and those who are leaving are "farewelled." So basically, if your work held a monthly party where they welcomed all of their new employees and said goodbye to all of those leaving. If you really want one, you should start petitioning for them!
