Weekend & Week Ahead

{Dad & Conor: my only decent photo...it was quite dark}
I had the best weekend! Dinner with my parents was so fantastic - the best food & company around.

Seeing my Chicago friends Chuck & Kenny was great. We had some cocktails, went to the casino & hit the bar.

Needless to say, after they left Tuesday morning I spent most of the day napping & re-watching season 2 of Mad Men {gotta get prepared for Sunday's premiere!}. I'm pretty excited to see what's going to happen w. Peggy & Pete's pseudo relationship.

{The gorgeous Mad Men cast}
Fall semester starts in another week so I am busy ordering textbooks from Amazon {tres cheap}, putting together a fall wardrobe, & contemplating a move to a l a r g e r place. More on that later, of course!

Ooh, moving to a bigger place? Sounds exciting! Your weekend sounds like a blast! Love the pic of the guys by the pool. And I'm so mad at myself that I wasn't clued in to the Mad Men marathon until after it was over (although I wouldn't have gotten a minute of work done that day had I known about it. I get pretty sucked in to every little detail...)

I too, Pipes, am down to the final episode on rewatches (btw, I know that's not a word). I'm very much looking forward to this as well. Toodles!

Great minds think alike. I also ordered my books from Amazon.com, and saved almost $80 over ordering them from the campus bookstore (plus all my books are crispy new). There is a piece of mind in knowing that all the effort I have in picking them up is at most a thirty foot walk to the apartment office. Ah, thank the higher intelligence for the Internet.

I just ordered my books, I never thought to go to Amazon, but I got mine on Half.com and seemed to save a good amount of $.

Can not wait for Sunday night either! And I have to say that I am rather envious that you are busy ordering textbooks and putting together a fall wardrobe for back-to-school! I've always loved everything related to the beginning of a new school year :)

I can't wait for Sunday!!!! I could watch that show on repeat everyday! :)

You're so smart to use Amazon! I only really used that my last year of school, and I wish I'd used it more! Cheap books= more money for new Fall clothes!

You're so pretty, I love your hair!

Get this, so a friend of my mom's (whose daughter I've met a few times) told me that her daughter who happens to be an actress was on a show that didn't sound familiar to me, so I didn't pay attention. Today it totally rings a bell...she's either on Mad Men or was on Mad Men. She dresses in this attire in real life too!

I'm slightly obsessed with Mad Men now. We just started season 1 (about halfway through) and it is like crack.

Btw, that pic on your tumbler of Betty Draper is awesome!

Sounds like a fun weekend!! I need to place my Amazon order this week too. I haven't even looked at my fall booklist yet because it usually makes me feel a little ill! Hope you are having a marvelous time putting together a fall wardrobe...that's the best thing about starting a new semester :)
