{Old Style}

Anybody out there like cheap beer? I most certainly do.

As my lovely & dear friend, Miss Shelley over at Mass for Shut-Ins reported to us previously, Old Style {my fave beer...I know, I know} is going 'new-style.' You can read more about it on her blog. Well, I've been well-aware of this fact, but the supply has continued to be abundant at my local grocer.

Until this weekend, that is.

Yes, that is a lonely, empty spot where my
beloved Old Style Light

used to wait patiently to be picked up by yours truly.
{Conor, mourning the loss.}
So that sucked.

But then, wonderful news!
My frequently mentioned friend Shelley {you know Shel, right?!} called with the news that she had purchased 96 elusive OLD Old Styles. So happy.
I you Shel.

{It's Cold Again}

I am confused. And tired of the cold. Le sigh.
{Jesus Fish 'n' Chips}
At least it's Friday, so Conor & I are lucky enough to get to eat at Shuck's Oyster Bar here in Omaha. They are owned by a co. {Absolutely Fresh Seafood} that get their fishies flown in daily, so it's quite the delicious treat for a Midwesterner. And SO worth the trip to West Omaha {which I avoid like the plague...think, suburban sprawl}.

We
are not Catholics, we just like an excuse to eat great fish.

Well, regardless of the fact that I will not be enjoying any outdoor activities this weekend due to the chilly temps, I will, in fact be relaxing just the same.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

{A Magician}

{GOB, from Arrested Development}
Did you know that I can do magic?
Like how I vanished from my blog again?
{Pretty impressive, huh, vanishing.}

Things are hectic. The second half of the semester just began, a dear friend made an last-minute trip to Omaha for a fam-emergency, & I'm having to register for summer & fall classes this week.

Deep breaths, calming thoughts.
Wine cubes from Target...ahh.

Puppies in doorways!

Polka dot shoes,
well, shoes of any kind.

Ahh, all better!

P.S. I loved all the ideas for my shoes! If & when I find something I will obviously post it ASAP!

{Sparkle}

I'm looking for some sparkle. Can you help me?
Here's what's up. I own these shoes...

{Nine West Jojus}

I love them. They are much more colourful than this picture indicates. But, one slight alteration I would like to make? Well, I saw this photo on Miss Muffy Martini's blog...

{Nine West Jojus w/SPARKLE}

What & how would be the best way to go about adding this touch of sparkle to my already lovely shoe? I'm guessing clip-on earrings or something? Am I in the ballpark, girls? I want my shoes to be more exciting.

Help!

{Pretty Pasta}

{So colorful!}
When I think of summer foods, pasta salad is one that comes to mind.
Especially as a accent to grilling out. So, when I was trying to decide what to bring to my sister's house for dinner tomorrow, I instantly thought, pasta salad!
{Mix it all together...}
What do you put in your pasta salad?

When I lived with some sorority sisters we made pasta salad A L L the time. The girls introduced me to adding cheese & pepperoni. You know, to make it healthy. Otherwise, I go with a pretty standard recipe...
{Tri-color NOODLES!}
My veggies of choice are celery, radishes, cucumbers, black olives {my fave!}, carrots, and red peppers. Then in go the pepperoni & cheese. I also boiled some eggs & added them {protein...wow, this is like a meal}. I used a Kraft Casesar Parmesan Vinagrette dressing this time & must say it's pretty tasty. Tomorrow I will add my grape tomatoes {I like them nice & fresh}, and voila! Finito!

{All packed up & ready to go.}

Now, it's still Spring Break for me, so I'm going to enjoy my wine spritzer.
That's right, I said wine spritzer.

{Happy St. Patrick's Day!}

Some things just work out well.
Spring Break & St. Patrick's Day all in the same week?
This is the perfect example.

Anyone who has read my blog knows that I will most certainly be celebrating my little {non}Irish buns off today.

I've had my Lucky Charms...
{I eat all the cereal out, then savor the marshmallows all at once, how about you?}
There's Guinness in the fridge...
{Don't worry, that's not all I plan on drinking.}
And a corned beef brisket on the stove!
{ Hmm, doesn't look too appealing, does it?}

{Boiling in, what else? Beer!}

Have a great {& safe} day!

{Jelly Beans}

{So colorful & sweet.}
Conor smells like them.

It's nice. He doesn't notice, but I do. Especially when he comes home from working in the pharmacy. Perhaps it's the bins of Easter candy on display around the counter. The candy descends upon & marks him with it's sugary scent. He denies this all {of course}.

I love it.
He's my little candy bean.

{My Absense}

Has been due to many factors:
Midterms
{they went horribly, if you wondered}.

{Piper & Meghan Beers, respectively.}
Lots of the above action {gotta get through those tests}.

{Or any day, for that matter}
Janky internet connections {my router has cancer or something}.

Exhaustion. I'm worn out.

One more day.
One more day & I'm officially on Spring Break.
And hopefully will be back to my old self.
Blog & all!

{Wedding Shoes}

Alright girls, I am in need of your assistance. As I mentioned before, a very lovely friend of mine is getting married. There will be 6 bridesmaids in all, & she'd really like if we could all wear a different color pump. The dress color is still up in the air {either white or navy...more of that later} but accents will be fuchsia, lime green, & orange...your basic Springy, bright colors.

We decided we would do 2 girls in each color. 2 green, 2 pink, etc. Have any of you worn bright pumps for weddings or other parties? I'm having trouble finding choices. Especially G R E E N shoes. They seem to be nonexistent, & one bridesmaid is really jonesing for green.

{Via Zappos}

These 2 are just an example of what we've liked so far. I think I may have to break the news to her that pink may be the only way to go. I love the red ones though {perhaps they will have to be a separate purchase?}

I also found these, which go perfectly with her idea of wanting navy shoes for herself...

So, what do you think?

{Thank You All!}

You are all such a sweet, lovely people & your wishes made my day much more special! I wish I was able to thank each & every one of you in person with a big cupcake...how about if you all just run out to Cold Stone & get yourself one of those delectable looking cupcakes?
Yum!

The weather is totally gorgeous here in Nebraska, which is the perfect post-birthday gift. I hope it sticks around, but I won't keep my fingers crossed, it is only March, after all.

It gets me thinking about Spring clothes..I'm taking full advantage today by wearing lilac, turquoise, & yellow. It feels nice. {I would also die to wear any of these gorgeous Milly dresses as well.}

{Happy Birthday to Me}

It's official, I'm old.

To celebrate I shall study,
go to the DMV {forgot to re-register the car},
take a sushi break
{with a few cocktails},
& head back to studying.

{It could be worse.}

{Green Eggs & Ham}

{Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!}
I'll use any excuse to eat Eggs Bennie.
Any & all.
So, Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss...
I'm celebrating with my version of Green Eggs & Ham.
{Eggs Benedict w/ham & capers, they're green!}
{photo via Happy Happy}
My birthday is tomorrow, but with 3 midterms {2 on Wed. alone} & 2 papers due this week, I shall not be celebrating with a blow-out party. Tonight is Eggs Bennie w/Conor, then off to the local watering hole to see our friends' band I spoke of last week {show #2 in 2 weeks!}.

{Ladyfinger (ne) last weekend at Slowdown}
Birthdays during midterms = Bummer.
Nothing better than spending your day studying. When I turned 21 I went to a Creighton basketball game with my parents. All my friends were studying. I was pretty much a badass. You're jealous, admit it.

Now, I'm off to read some Psych & drink some wine.
Happy early birthday to me!
