This is one battle where I cannot name a winner. However, another of my NY resolutions is to stay in and cook more. I'm going for 5 out of 7 days per week. This is because Mondays are reserved for a local bar, Barrett's Barleycorn, & their 2 for 1 burgers. The Patty Melt is my fave!
I was too excited to photograph our food.
You can see our lovely waitress in the background though,
her dad coaches the local university football team!
The other night is kinda open for whatever may come up throughout the week. For example, a group of girlfriends & I have G.on.G. {girl on grill} where we each bring a course to share.
Some cupcakes I made for a past GonG night...
and my sister's hand going in for the kill.
It's almost like eating at home - I do cook something!
Conor pouring warm boxed wine into a glass with ice cube fish!
Notice how we like our alcohol w/dinner?
Conor & my most current dinner was paninis. We accented these with some lovely Bota Boxed wine. Actually not bad! And hilarious! I hadn't drank boxed wine since college until my sister recently introduced us to this guy. Trust me, it's no Franzia, ick!
What about you other lovely bloggers?

depends on the day... depends how i feel.. but of course i want to cook more... so much cheaper!
but i LOVE goin' out to eat!
hi! I just came across your blog and love it! so cute! :)
I eat out a lot... but then again, I'm a single girl. If I eat at home it's usually lean cuisines or mac&cheese or pb&j... I know, I'm cool like that. I'm just crossing my fingers that I'll learn how to cook when I finally have a fam of my own! ha! :)
I love eating out, but the majority of the time, we cook (Read I cook) at home. I really enjoy cooking meals as long as I am not rushed and have prepared a bit in advance.
My boyfriend is a fabulous cook unlike me; so, we eat at home alot. However, my girlfriends and I always get together and have dinner somewhere. Occasionally, we'll host dinner parties for our whole group which is loads of fun:) The patty melt sounds yummy even if it is 9:35 in the morning!
Barrett's is one of our favorites! We're there all the time. We definitely eat out too much and I'm trying to cut it back. One of my goals for the new year actually.
We eat in on most nights but getting creative with dinner is difficult though!
That's a great post! GonG is such a cool idea.
I like to think that eating in wins but I eat out so much! I guess it's part of attempting to have a social life. I mean if it's 7pm and you want to see a friend, it's so easy to go out to dinner but hard on the wallet. So, for me both win I suppose!
I love eating out but I know I need to eat in more. It is easier to be healthy when eating in (at least for me)
i eat in mostly because I love to cook. but i really have my favorites here in chicago when I feel like going out, which is about once a week.
I eat in mostly because I'm cheap lately. I'm always down for a good deli sandwich though! :)
Your cupcakes are super cute!
I L.O.V.E. a good meal out...but that doesn't necessarily fit into all of my New Years resolutions (AKA saving money, eating healthier)! I live in the Chicago area which even makes it harder...so many good restaurants to choose from!
That frothy beer looks amazing...I love pub burgers! My husband and I spent way too much money eating out last year, so we're trying to plan out menus and eat at home 6 nights each week. So far it's working out nicely..I can already notice the slight increase in our bank account!
