I've spent the past 2 days shopping. Some was fun, some not so fun. Shopping not fun, you ask? Not when you're blowing $400 on textbooks. Ick. I'm sure a lot of you are going through the same thing right now, so we can at least be traumatized together!
Anyways, some of it was fun! I went to Target & finally got my planner. It's pink & zebra-y! I also got a little zip-up camera bag for my new Cybershot. It has a picture of a camera on the front that you can't really see in the photo & it's perfect! I also went to Border's to get a few books & found the Russian doll tea towels on sale. I think I'm going to frame them...
I also picked up some notebooks & stationary. One of my NY resolutions this year is to send more snail mail. I think that email, texting, & facebook-esque communication is fine, but nothing beats coming home to a letter in the mailbox!
More about my other resolutions to come...
I hope you all made it through & had a great first week of the new year!

I share your sorrow on the text book issue...it's not fun at all to blow that much money on books that only get used one semester. My school likes to require ridiculous amounts of books that usually cost me $1000 a semester. I could have several Chanel bags by now if I had that money back! I'm resolving to send more snail mail this year too...I picked up the cutest note cards at Target the other day. I was super impressed with their selection!
ughhh buying text books is never fun but at least you did get some fun stuff! I LOVE getting things in the mail well not bills but cards, letters, etc. are so fun!
Cute planner! I'm sorry about the text books, they are very much unfun to buy, lol!
Love the stationery! I'm working on making cards at the moment =)
What are you majoring in? Way to go! Trust me, you'll miss it when you're done!
what a cute planner!!!
What a great idea about the tea towels. I bet they will look great framed.
My NY resolution was to rewrite my address book and take all those little pieces of paper and make them in some sort of order...Then maybe I can find a address to send a snail mail...:>)
That planner is darling! Great finds.
I feel your pain!!! I just spent $500 on textbooks and that's after hunting all over the internet to find the best deals. I hate textbook shopping.
I already have a planner but I really want that zebra one!
PS-I am taking 4 classes instead of 5 and my books are SO expensive this year! It sucks
oooh! love the stationary! so glad i'm done with buying textbooks, though! YUCK! have you tried reselling on half.com when you're done?
Miss S&C that planner is just divine! The Russian dolls look so cute, and bright and perky too, always a plus for us in the middle of the dreary days. Great picks!

I couldn't agree more - nothing beats getting some fun snail mail! All I ever seem to get any more are bills ... ugh.
Nice loot you bought!
Cheers,

Ugh....I don't have to buy my textbooks until next week, but I am certainly dreading it, especially because I am trying to save money for my semester in Rome!
I absolutely adore your planner though. So cute and fun.
Also? Your goal of sending snail mail. SO CUTE.
