{Garage Sales}

Summer = Garage Sales.

This past weekend my mom came up to Omaha to hit up some g-sales. Honestly, I think they're a lot of work - lots of digging around in odds & ends to find one or two gems. But, I did find some. Everyone did, actually. My mom got a couple great end tables & my sister-in-law Jessica got a fab chair & lamp + a few other items. Here are my finds!

{my poor pic-taking abilities}
My loot: a huge picture frame {will be painted & art-ed}, 2 smaller bamboo frames {will def. be replacing the pics}, 2 lattice-edged milk glass plates, 4 glass coffee glasses w/silver handles, & a round lazy-susan topped table!

{close-up of mugs & plates}
Most of my finds are going to be reworked in some way.
I'll keep you updated on the progress!
{Sorry for the awful pics, I can't seem to get it together today!}

I know this is shocking, but I have never been to a garage sale! I have a friend that always finds the greatest stuff at garage sales. I want to go desperately, but I can't seem to make myself get up early on a Saturday morning. You found some cute things! I have to start getting out of bed earlier on Saturday!

I LOVE garge sales! The only "score" I've gotten at one is a 50 cent pool for the dog, but I keep going every spring in hopes of finding something very special!

It looks like you found some great things! Garage sales and flea markets always feel like a lot of work to me too, but when you find a treasure it's so worth it!

How exciting. Let me know how the furniture renovations go. I need inspirations.

neat, you really did get a lot. I never seem to find anything at a yard sale but old junk! I think the frames are going to look fantastic painted and reworked!

I'll have another one, please! said...

When I lived back home my manager would find the best stuff @ garage sales. A strand of real pearls, tiffany jewelry. She would go to them before work and she'd pop in with all this great loot. I go to them because I swear I'm going to find that piece that is one day going to be appraised at over $50,000 on The Antiques Road Show. Good finds! Love the milk glass plates.
