I ♥ bagels. The saddest thing is that they aren't as healthy as eating an apple, which they positively should be. And they can be expensive, and sometimes hard to find in a city like Omaha (freshly made, that is). Anyway, I found a simple enough sounding recipe online the other day after Conor had made some comments about boiling our own bagels (I wasn't even aware bagels were boiled).
They turned out amazing. As in, better than Panera. But, I'm biased, as they were made in Chez VB-McC with lots of love. Oh my gawd, someone just knocked on my door.
UPS man. Sadly, he was at the wrong address.
Back to the bagels. Here's the website: BAGELZZZZZ. Check it out - it was so easy & fast!
I prefer to feed on bagels with cream cheese, lox, & capers. But I'll eat them with just about anything else on them as well. Bagelz.

I hear ya on the bagel-scarcity in Omaha! I also love eating mine with cream cheese, lox, and capers! It is my weakness :)
Okay now I want a bagel.
They are like my favorite snack EVER. My favorite bagel in the whole world is the chocolate chip bagel from Panera with regular/light cream cheese.
To.Die.For.
Bagels are boiled?! Oh my goodness. I need to try this.
ahh some friends of mine just made bagels recently too and I've been wanting to make them! mmmmmmm, bagels, lox, cream cheese, capers, little bit of red onion. We're expecting more snow, I think I'm going to have to make these, and add lox to our grocery list! =)
Oh yum! My sister just gave me a recipe for Montreal Bagels that I can't wait to try. These look pretty fabulous though! I may have to make these first!
